Nowadays,accountability is regarded as a hot word of anti-corruption.The historical development and the cultural con-text related to the word accountability are worthy of being researched.By retrieving the great four global corpora GloWbE,CO-CA,COHA,and BNC,collecting relevant textual materials,and analyzing them,the thesis aims to dig deep the meaning of out-text,making the readers have a multi-dimensional knowledge of accountability.
