A Study on Names of Medicated Diet of Bozhou fromthe Perspective of Functionalist Translation Skopostheory

亳州是中华药都,药膳文化历史悠久。当前国内外日益注重养生保健,药膳愈来愈受到国内外的重视。论文总结出八种亳州药膳名称结构,以功能主义翻译目的论为理论依据,以药膳译名处理中的原则与方法为指导,提出了八种亳州药膳名称结构的英译方法,旨在促进亳州药膳旅游业的发展,宣扬亳州药膳文化。

Bozhou is known as the medical city of China, which has a long history of medicated diet. People at home and abroad pay more attention to health care and thus attach more importance to medicated diet. The author summarizes eight kinds of struc-tures of medicated diet of Bozhou and proposes translation methods to each structure of names of medicated diet, based on func-tionalist translation skopostheory and guided by the principle and method in treatment of names of medicated diet. The aim of the paper is to promote the development of medicated diet tourism and publicize medicated diet culture of Bozhou.
