《追风筝的人》是美籍阿富汗裔作家卡勒德·胡赛尼的代表作之一。小说中多次出现了人物的梦境。该文采用弗洛伊德的精神分析理论,通过对三个梦境的解析深度剖析人物内心世界。分析表明,"英雄与鬼怪"之梦反映了哈桑的英雄情结以及强烈的名利欲;"求救者与拯救者"之梦体现了阿米尔懦弱而又残忍自私的个性;"孪生兄弟"之梦可视为阿米尔内心负罪感的释放。

The Kite Runner is one of the representative works written by Afghan- born American novelist Khaled Hosseini.Dreams of the characters frequently appear in this novel. Based on the theory of psychoanalysis proposed by Freud, this paper tends to explore the spiritual world of the characters by analyzing three of their dreams. It's concluded that the dream of'hero and devil'reflects Hassan's longing for being a hero and strong desire for fame and wealth; the dream of'help seeker and rescuer'indicates that there exist cowardice, cruelness and selfishness in Amir's personality; the dream of'twins'can be regarded as Amir's release of his sense of guilty embedded in his heart.
