摘要
专门用途英语(English for Specific Purpose,ESP)是满足学习者特定需要的英语,与大学英语教学改革要求高校"个性化教学,以满足学生各自不同专业的发展需要"完全吻合。ESP教材是ESP教学的内容载体,开展ESP教材研究将为ESP教学改革指明方向。文章主要探讨了我国ESP教材的分类及其发展现状,试图以此来推动ESP教材的建设。
ESP is a branch of English Language Teaching, which is to meet the specific needs of English learners and in com-plete agreement with the reform of College English teaching--advocating individualized teaching to meet the developmental need of students from different majors. ESP materials play an important role in ESP teaching and learning process. This paper mainly analyzes the classification and the current development of ESP materials in China ,which aims to promote China’s ESP materials development.
