The representative work China Boy, written by the Chinese American writer Gus Lee, has raised great concern after being published. This thesis aims to utilize'the other'theory of Post-colonialism to have an interpretation of this work. An analysis about the hard life and marginalized social position of the Chinese immigrant family Ting Kai reveals'the other'status of the Chinese American, namely'the other'of race, culture and language. Under the implementation of American culture hegemony,'Orientalism'still has an impact and as a minority in the United States and the Chinese immigrants are still regarded as'other'.
