摘要 Clay tells the story the protagonist Maria.She was a Catholic.However,the Catholic has slaved Maria’s spirit to a great extent.This paper analyzes on one hand,Maria’s personalities and psychological characteristics from a series of details in Maria’s all life-time;on the other hand,what the clay really symbolizes.
