Factors of Non English Major Students' learning Motivation Failure

对于学生来说,英语是必修课,直接关系到他们未来的发展,但是目前学生英语学习状况却不容客观,很多学生在面对英语这门课程时心有余而力不足,对英语学习的热情在不断地降低。导致这一现象的原因是多方面的。对此,文章从学习者、教师、课程、社会环境四个角度对学生英语学习动机不断衰竭的因素进行了分析,然后针对性地提出了一些可行性建议,以其对学生英语能力的提高有所帮助。

English is a compulsory course which is directly related to their future development for students. However, students' English learning situation is not optimistic at present. Many students are willing to help but unable to do so in the face of English, and their enthusiasm for English learning reduces gradually. There are many reasons for this phenomenon. This paper analyzes continuous failure of students' English learning motives from learners, teachers, curriculum, social environment, and then put forward some feasible suggestions to help to improve students' English capability.
