摘要
One of Savory's principles of translation focuses on whether a translator may or may never add to or omit from the original. According to the reader-analysis theory, this paper argues from both theoretical and practical aspects, that to fulfill the function of the translation adequately in the target language, the translator may have his right to add to or omit from the original.
