摘要
The Novel The Bluest Eye portrays several male characters who behave in neurotic ways. The Neo-Freudian psychoanalysis is employed to analyse Cholly, Junior and Soaphead Church, suggesting that they have the neurotic needs for power, affection and withdrawal respectively, thus helping develop the utilization of Neo-Freudian theory in the study of this novel.
