摘要
As the rapid development of human society, thousands of new words are coined in English language every day by applying the word-formation devices to express new ideas. Lexicographers need to decide how to face the problem of neologism as to how many of the new words should be included in the dictionary. In this essay, three new words concerning environmental issue will subject to analysis with Corpus of Contemporary American English(COCA) and the FUDGE Factors in order to predict new words' future success.
