摘要
TEM 8 is an authentic test for English major students in Chinese traditional universities. It mainly inspects Chinese ESL/EFL learners' four basic skills, including listening, reading, writing and translation. This article gives a brief introduction of TEM 8 and makes a detail evaluation about this test from the perspectives of reliability, validity and backwash impact so that test takers and educators can have a new understanding of this test.
