The nature and harm of bauxite residues were briefly introduced.The classification of inorganic polymer flocculants,the flocculation mechanism and their advantages and disadvantages were reviewed.The process,principle and technical progress of preparation of different inorganic polymer flocculants from bauxite residues were comprehensively introduced,and the prospects and trends of preparation of inorganic polymer flocculants from bauxite residues were discussed.
