The Effect of Processing Technology on the Mechanic Performance of SiC/ultrahigh Molecular Weight Polyethylene Nanocomposite Material

摘要 通过两种不同工艺,对超高分子量聚乙烯(UHMWPE)进行无机纳米SiC的包覆共混改性,对改性后的热压制品进行力学性能、扫描电镜(SEM)与能谱仪(EDS)分析。分析结果表明,将包覆后的纳米SiC经过机械共混后直接模压成型的UHMWPE制品力学性能优于纯UHMWPE,而经过单螺杆熔融共混挤出毛坯后再进行模压成型的UHMWPE的纳米SiC粒子分散更均匀,并且获得更优异的力学性能。 Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE)was coated by blending with inorganic nanometer SiC throught two different processes.The testing results of mechanical properties,scanning electron microscope(SEM),and electron microscope(EDS)showed that the mechanical performance of coated SiC after mechanical blending with direct mould is higher than that of original UHMWPE.The product extruded by single screw with melt blending before moulding shows better mechanical properties because of and the well dispersed SiC nanoparticles.
