摘要
《說文》:'李,果也。''行李'一詞具有'使者'之義令人费解,多數學者從語音的角度進行研究,認為'行李'當讀為'行理'或'行吏(使)'等。本文認為'行李'一詞中的'李'當為'嫠'字省寫而並非是'李'字,'行李'具有'使者'之義是詞義引申的結果。
The word ' li(李)' means fruit in Shuowenjiezi.So it is difficult to understand that 'xingli(行李)' means envoy.Most scholars deem that it is because of the interchangeability between 'xingli(行李)w and 'xingli(行理)','xingli(行吏)' and 'xingli(行使)' from the perspective of phonetics.This paper deems that the word 'li(李)' is the simplified writing of 'li(釐)'.and the meaning of envoy rs the extension of'li(李)'.
