'Lei Feng Spirit'embodies an ideal socialist ethics and humanity norms constructed after the founding of New China.However,with the development of the market economy,the of Lei Feng Spirit with'selfless dedication'as the the core has conflicted with the market spirit of'the supremacy of interests'.Nowadays,people have begun to question Lei Feng Spirit and its legitimacy in contemporary society.Under the new historical conditions,how do we recognize this phenomenon and how should we grasp the contemporary connotation of Lei Feng spirit?This article discovers the original connotation of Lei Feng Spirit from its historical context,then combines the contemporary public communication context to analyze the disputes about the inheritance of Lei Feng spirit,and finally gives answers to the question of how we should learn from Lei Feng Spirit and how we should understand and grasp Lei Feng Spirit in order to practise socialist core values.
