《建修胡太师祖佳城记》立碑者李耀考述

An Investigation on Li Yao,the Erector of Tablet with“Inscription Recording the Construction and Repairing of Grandmaster Hu’s Jia Cheng City”

《建修胡太师祖佳城记》碑文一直被学术界所重视,然而对于参与立碑且署名'钦赐孔雀翎镇守陕西延绥等处地方挂印总兵,左都督沐教教末李耀'缺乏考述和关注。本文通过考证初步判定,李耀是现在宁夏青铜峡人,军旅出身,大约生活在清康熙、雍正年间。他有三个儿子,其中长子是康熙壬辰科武进士。父子在清代国家的统一中发挥了重要作用。同时他们也积极参与宗教慈善,其影响至今犹存。

'Inscription recording the construction and repairing of Grandmaster Hu’s Jia Cheng city'has always been valued by the academic circle.However,there is a lack of review and attention to Li Yao,the erector the tablet who signed his name on the tablet with his titles as Zuo Du Du(a military commander)and Gua Yin Zong Bing(a local governor)of Yansui Area of Shaanxi Province and his identity as a muslim.Through a preliminary judgment based on a textual research,this article holds that Li Yao came from today’s Qingtongxia city of Ningxia,having a military background,living in the Era of Emperor Kangxi or Emperor Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty.He had three sons,and his eldest son got the title of Wu Jin Shi(the first place examinee in national military examination)in Kangxi Era.Therefore the father and the son played an important role in the unification of the nation in the Qing Dynasty.At the same time,they also actively devoted themselves to religious charity activities so that their influence still exists.
