Deng Xiao-ping and the Yan'an Spirits is an important issue in the study of Deng Xiao-ping and requires no neglect. During the period of the democratic revolution, Deng Xiao-ping fostered the Yan'an Spirits in the struggles of anti-Japanese and anti-Jiang Jie-shi. After the founding of new China, Deng Xiao-ping greatly advocated to carry forward and develop the Yan'an Spirits under the new historical conditions. In the new period of the socialist modernization drive, Deng Xiao-ping, an old man, still cherished high aspirations and set us a great example of promoting the Yan'an Spirits.
