Cosmopolitanization and Chinese Literature

中国文学的演变经历了一个由非自觉到自觉的逐步世界化的过程。大约应以维新变法为界,此前中国文学的世界化缺乏理性自觉;此后中国文学伴随着社会结构向现代社会形态转型也开始步入现代化之路,并以理性自觉姿态与世界其他民族文学进行对话、交汇、冲撞、融合,最终建构起现代中国各种文学样态的大厦。当前在“全球化”浪潮冲击下,对于现代中国文学的研究必须采取相应的对策,以促进中国文学雄踞世界文学之林。

The development of Chinese literature experienced from non-consciousness to consciousness in the process of gradual cosmopolitanization. Approximately, we could draw a line at the constitutional Reform and Modernization in 1898. Before it, the cosmopolitanization of Chinese literature was lacking in rational consciousness. After it, Chinese literature started of social structure into a modem form. It began its dialogue, blending, collision and mixing with other national literatures in the world in a rational and conscious way and finally constructed a building for all shapes of modem Chinese literature. At present, pounded by the waves of 'globalization', we should use corresponding strategies in the research of modem Chinese literature to promote the cosmopolitanization of Chinese literature.
