谭嗣同根据政治变法的需要 ,从西方文化中去寻求真理 ,并用传统文化来诠释外来文化。同时 ,又用他所理解的外来文化来改造传统文化 ,使他所建构的政治思想呈现出“不中不西 ,亦中亦西”

Motivated by his hope to reform China's politics, Tan Sitong studies Western theories in the framework of the Chinese traditional culture and tried to reform the Chinese traditional culture with his adopted Western theories. As a result, his political thoughts were a combination of Western and Chinese traditional thoughts.
