A universal computation platform for measurement & control instruments is designed in this paper, its hardware configuration is presented and some key software problems are discussed. This platform features a dual-processor architecture with a digital signal processor(DSP) and a micro controller,so that it possesses powerful computation ability and can interface to real world easily.
