The principle and performance of OFDM technology are briefly discussed in this Paper. The paper formulates the BERC algorithm on reducing the peak - to - average power ratio of OFDM signal, which is followed by a comparison between BERC algorithm and clipping one. The simulation results show that the combination of OFDM and BERC algorithm can overcome the drawback of OFDM signal, and thus OFDM can be more suitable as a modulation scheme for future radio systems.
