城市文化特色与城市设计

The Cultural Characteristics and Urban Design

本文主要论述城市的文化特色和城市设计的关系,也就是研究文化和设计的关系,本文也可看成是“论城市”的一个组成部分,作者认为城市的文化特色是城市历史发展积累、积淀和更新的表现;是人类聚居活动不断适应和改造自然特征的反映;是城市社会行为、观念、行为模式的特点的反映;是城市性质和规模的反映.现代化的设施、现代科学技术给城市以新的文化特色,在某种意义上讲又是不同历史时期不同管理者、规划者、设计者水平和素质的综合反映.作者还论述了城市基础设施对城市特色的影响,探讨了城市的性格、品格、风格等关系.最后对城市设计的观念进行了更新,并为作出良好的设计提供指导思想.

This paper mainly discusses the relationship between the cultural characteristics and urban design in the city, as a component of 'On City'. That is the relationship between design and urban context also. The author thinks of the comprehensive culture of the city as the expression of accumulation, sediment and change during the historical development of the city; of the social conception and behaviour of the people; of the nature and scale of the city; of the modern technology and faciltities; and in a sense, of the general quality of the administrators, planners and designers in the different periods of the history. This article also disscusses the influences of the infrastructure on the cultural characteristics of the city, and also makes an inquiry into the relationship between the nature, quality and style. Finally the author puts forward some new concepts and relates them with some excellent designs.
