Proper choice of turbine output to match boiler capacity has a significant influence on unit's capacity. At present, some differencesin conception exist on the necessary capacity margin for units that allow for and also those that do not allow for overpressure operation. For the purpose of reaching a common understanding, based on domestic conditions the author gives definitions of some terms and elucidates the problem of proper matching of turbines, boilers and generators. 1 fig and 3 tables.
