A NEW SPECIES OF APHELINUS DALMAN FROM ZHEJIANG PROVINCE, CHINA (HYMENOPTERA: APHELINIDAE)

本文报导分布于浙江的蚜小蜂属一新种:桃粉蚜蚜小蜂Aphelinus hyalopteraphidis sp.nov.并详细描述了其分类特征及与近似种的区别。

In this paper, a new species of the genus Aphelinus collected from Zhejiang Province is described. The type specimens are deposited in Zhejiang Agricultural Cadre College. Aphelinus hyalopteraphidis sp. nov.This species is closely related to Aphelinus toxopteraphidis Kurd., from which it can be separated by the following characters: the pedicel less than twice as long as the first two funi-cles; hind tibiae entirely yellow; basal part of the hind coxae blackish brown; all joints of antennae yellow; basal half of abdomen with light yellow.This species is also similar to Aphelinus varipes (Foerst.), but it is different in the fol-lowing pariculars: fore and middle coxae yellow; all tibiae yellow; lacking of seta on the anterior margin of fore coxae; the number of sensoria on the club greatly less than 10-12.This species may be easily distinguished from Aphelinus flaviceps Foerst. parasited Hya-lopterus arundinis (Fabricius) in West Europe by the following features: head blackish brown; the number of setae on the Delta area of fore wings less than 45; the posterior half of abdomen blackish brown.Holotype ♀, allotype ♂, paratype 6 ♀♀, Hanzhou, 29-Ⅳ-1987. All specimens are reared from Hyalopterus arundinis (Fabricius) by tht author.
