亚洲象无齿奎隆线虫一新种(圆形亚目:毛线科)

A NEW SPECIES OF PARASITIC NEMATODES FROM INDIAN ELEPHANT (STRONGYLATA: TRICHONEMATIDAE)

本文报道作者近年来在石家庄动物园对亚洲象Elephas maximus进行药物驱虫时采集的寄生线虫一新种,无齿奎隆线虫,新种Quilonia edentata sp.nov.,模式标本保存于河北师范大学生物系。

Quilonia edentata sp. nov. (fig. 1)The new species was collected from faeces of two Indian elephants (Elephas maximus) by anthelminthic in Shijiazhuang Zoo in 1986, Shijiazhuang(38°7’N,l 14°30’E),Hebei Province.The specimens large in size and cylindrical in shape. Cuticle with wide transverse striations clearly in the surface of the body. Mouth collar well developed. Head surrounded by 4 prominent submedian papillae and 2 lateral amphids, leaf crown projected over head with 20 ele- ments arising from the base of buccal capsule. Buccal capsule short and wide without tooth. Cervical papillae setaceous.Male Body 15.0-16.8mm in length and 0.578-0.675 mm in maximum width, Distance between striations in the middle of the body 0.029-0.031 mm. Buccal capsule 0.021-0.031 mm in depth and 0.140-0.153 mm in inner diameter. Oesophagus 0.659-0.742 mm in length and 0.227-0.237 mm in maximum width. Nerve ring 0.330-0.361 mm, excretory pore 0.517-0.544 mm and cervical papillae 0.667-0.872 mm to anterior end. The features of bursa and the arrangement of its rays coincide with the characteristics of the genus Quilonia. Spicules equal and slender, 0.861-0.941 mm long. Gubernaculum small, shovel shaped, 0.114-0.151 mm long and 0.052-0.068 mm wide.Female Body 24.0-27.5 mm in length and 0.898-1.242 mm in maximum width. Distance between striations in the middle of the body 0.035-0.039 mm. Buccal capsule 0.031-0.041 mm in depth and 0.177-0.198 mm in inner diameter. Oesophagus 0.787-0.959 mm in length and 0.295-0.412 mm in maximum width. Nerve ring 0.412-0.422 mm, excretory pore 0.578 -0.701 mm and cervical papillae 0.820-1.026 mm to anterior end. Vulva to anus 4.051-4.949 mm. Tail straight, pointed, 1.718-2.282mm long. Eggs elliptical, 0.062-0,072 mm long and 0.034-0.046 mm wide.This species is similar to Q. simhai Gupta et Trivedi, 1984 in general feature, but can be distinguished from the latter by a pair of setaceous cervical papillae, gubernaculum in shovel shaped instead of pear shaped, a long tail in female (0.718-2.282), and wider buccal capsules in both sexes.Holotype ♂, allotype ♀, paratypes 2♂♂, 5♀♀, deposited in the Department of Biology, Hebei Normal University, Shijiazhuang.
