When the ring-frame of the airplane was riveted,the broken rivets were often occured and this failure phenomenon never happened before.Through the examination of the ma- terials,technology testing and fracture analysis of the brohen rivets.It is discovered that the really cause for the rivets happening brittle-fracture is the coarse grain size of the material.If the rivets were normalized,then the question of the rivets broken can be solved.
