Index system of assessing sustainable development is a multi-level and multi-subsystem complex system. Researches on index system of assessing sustainable development are of great significance in theory and practice. Fuzzy optimal BP neural network model is a useful tool to solve the complex problem. The system optimization can be reached with the complex procedure of decision - feedback - re-decision - re-feedback, and with inputting and outputting decision information by means of dialogue in fuzzy optimal BP neural network model.
