Depicting the Fresh Characters with National Spirit——Review of the Shaanxi Opera "Bailuyuan

秦腔《白鹿原》以白嘉轩与鹿子霖的矛盾为主要戏剧冲突 ,调动多种艺术手段 ,直观而细腻地刻画了白、鹿等人的复杂性格。较之小说 ,剧中的白嘉轩显得情绪更激动 ,人情味更浓。但剧本将白、鹿之间的精神格斗简单地归之于争夺风水宝地 ,是一种失误 ,与最后鹿子霖疯说小娥之死一样 ,浅释了原著深刻而复杂的思想内涵。

Taking the conflict between Bai Jia-xuan and Lu Zi-lin as the drama conflict and using many artistic devices, the Shaanxi Opera 'Bailuyuan' depicts in a direct and vivid way the complicated personalities of Bai Jia-xuan and Lu Zi-lin, et al. Comparing with the same named novel, bai Jia-xuan in the opera is more exciting and more humanistic. The opera concludes the spiritual conflicts between Bai Jia-xuan and Lu Zi-lin as struggling for the sites in terms of geomantic quality. Same as the plot that Lu Zi-lin talks madly of the death of Tian Xiao-e, the opera makes a mistake by explaining the complicated thought of the original work in a shallow way.
