A Preliminary Study of Cluster Effect of the Chinese Characters

汉字因为其形体上的方块性特征和表义功能 ,在运用中生发出特殊的表达效果 ,连缀效应是其中之一。汉字在空间上连缀成文时可以根据需要作全方位的安排 ,以实现独特的表达效果 ,这便是汉字的连缀效应。它包括序列连缀。

Owing to the features in form and the semantic meaning, the Chinese characters when used can produce special expressive effect, of which the cluster effect is one of its kind. When the Chinese characters are clustered to make one sentence, they can be rearranged in order to achieve peculiar expressive effect. This is called cluster effect of the Chinese characters, which include cluster of alignment, symmetry and word-hidden type.
