传统是由古代生发、流传下来从而制约着现代人的思维方式和行为方式的东西。人类在自己的生活实践中创造传统 ,并在历史进程中发展传统。在 2 0世纪的百年历史中 ,中国人民不断创造、积累、熔铸和发展的光荣革命传统 ,主要体现为北大精神、孔繁森精神。

Tradition emerged in ancient times and has been inherited by the successive generations, which restrains the way of thinking and behavior of modern man. Man has created his tradition from practice and developed it in the course of history. In the 20th century, the Chinese people have been creating, accumulating, and developing glorious revolutionary traditions which are revealed mainly in Beijing University Spirit, Kong-Fan-shen Spirit, Combating-Flood Spirit and others.
