Polymorphisms of O^6—methylguanine—DNA—methyltransferase gene in the Chinese Han People of the South China

Polymorphisms in O^6-methylguanine-DNA-methyltransferase(MGMT) gene in the normal Han People of South China was searched by PCRSSCP-DNA sequencing.The result showed that exons 3 and 4 in MGMT gene in the normal Han people of South China existed in polymorphisms,which were both heterozygous mutation.The frequencies of CC,CT genotype in exon 3 were 89.0% and 11.0%,respectively.The frequencies of CC,CT genotype in exon 4 were 95.0% and 5.0%,respectively.The both frequencies of genotype were in accord with Hardy-Weinbarg rule(P>0.05).
