Direct separation of four stereoisomers of 2,3-diaminobutanoic acid on a L-proline chiral stationary phase was accomplished by ligand exchange chromatography. The effects of pH, ionic strength and column temperature on capacity factor k', selectivity a and peak separation R were studied.
