摘要
为保持在无线通信领域的领先地位,欧洲与世界其他地方的研究人员一样开始启动对后3G(包括4G)系统的研究,欧盟制订并启动了信息社会技术(IST)计划,在此计划下开展了一系列研究工作,探索如何在未来实现所谓环境智能或虚拟通信环境的概念。主要介绍在IST计划下欧洲在移动通信、地面无线通信和卫星通信方面开展的研究工作。
To keep Europe the core status in wireless communication, researchers in Europe start the research on 3G beyond (icluding 4G) system. EU started up IST program, under which a series of research is developed to explore how to realize the concept of so-called environment intelligence or virtual communication environment in the future. Research on mobile communication, terrestrial wireless communication and satellite communication under EU's IST program is introduced.
