The Fagaceae wood in Taiwan was divided into 6 genera 15 sorts in.thispaper. Meanwhile problems of Fagaceae plant taxonomy were discussed from the angleof wood-assortment. The above-mentioned practices may be useful for the academic ex-changes on both coasts of the Taiwan Straits.
