Reducing the measuring time in a pumping well would be implemented through calibrating afterflow. An explicit solution is proposed for the convolution integral obtained with Duhamels principle. The influence of afterflow would be eliminated to expedite pressure buildup for the purpose of shortening the measuring time by interpreting the data obtained at early stage with the solution . At the same time, the contradiction of deriving formation pressure that could not be interpreted at early stage by using the other method is eliminated.
