The surface of Entamoeba histolytica trophozoite looked undulatory. The pseudopodia generally presented leaf-like appearance and occasionally appeared spherical. The cell coat was observed on the surplasmalemma. The subpellicular granules occasionally presented under the cytoplasmic membrane. The endoplasm mainly contained the nutritional organelles and glycogen granules. There were lysosomes and endoplasmic reticulum in endoplasm, but it lacked Golgi body and mitochondria. During the divided period, the lattice-like aggregation ribosomes were found in the cytoplasm.
