Managing materials and devices using computer network and database can shorten the total managing period from plan making,purchasing, distributing,and using.Moreover,this helps to control managing costs,to avoid overneed device purchase,and to enhance cooperating among different departments. Existing systems became nonapplicable with the changing needs and developing technology.The paper analyzed shortcomings in the existing systems, then described function requirements, realization method, system character, and using effects of material managing system in Shenzhen Powersupply Bureau.
