It is introduced in this article that the hardware structure and working principle of ASIC Z87200 of direct sequence digital pulse modulation and demodulation, which produced by ZLOG TELECOM. It is digital chip, including sending part, receiving part and controlling part. This chip is intelligent, programmable Spread spectrum received and dispatched chip, which can be working both in full double work and half double work. It include some module such as differential encoder, modulator, PN code generator, numerical control generator, matched filter, down coverter, power detector, symbol tracking processor, automatic frequency control engine, loop filter, and so on. The key of the chip design is the designing and using of the function register, so we must set the right figure of each function register to achieve the design aim. It is also introduced hardware consists of direct sequence spread spectrum system.
