Absurdity, Flight, and Return——A Study of Su Xuelins Works in the 1920s

以小说《棘心》为代表(包括散文集《绿天》和剧本《玫瑰与春》),女作家苏雪林创作于20年代的作品体现了五四运动前后女性知识分子的一种生存状态,辗转于新与旧、进步与保守、现代与传统之间,她们的身心常常处于悖离之中。

Su Xuelin's works in the 1920s, in particular her novel Ji Xin , her prose collection LU Tian and her play Roses and Spring , reflected the existence of female intellectuals around the May 4th Movement. Floundering between the new and the old, the advanced and the backward, the modern and the traditional, the bodies and souls of the female intellectuals were often immersed in absurdity.
