温庭筠是唐五代第一个大力作词的文人。温词在晚唐五代时期既在不同的文化空间广为传播 ,又深受各文化阶层人们的喜爱。《花间集》以选本的形式传播温词 ,功在千秋 ;歌妓的演唱把温词更广泛地推向市井民间 ;广大文人对温词的接受表现出一个共识———“侧艳”

Wen Tingyun was the first literati to creat Ci Poetry initiately during the Late Tang Dynasty and Five Dynasties. Therefore, Wen's Ci poetry was spreaded widely in different cultural levels and was well received by the masses from every cultural stratum. 'The Collection of Huajian School' spreaded Wen's Ci poetry in the form of Ci selecting collections and songs, which made great contributions to its development and spreading among the people. Rich and gaudy is a important aesthetic character of Wen's Ci poetry.
