教育要面向现代化 ,指明社会主义的教育要为我国社会主义现代化建设服务 ,要主动地适应现代化建设的需要 ,培养适应现代化建设需要的合格人才。教育要面向世界 ,不仅要汲取世界各国先进的科学技术知识 ,汲取人类共同创造的文明成果 ,同时 ,必须注重培养学生面向世界所需要的综合素质。教育要面向未来 ,就是强调从现代化建设的长远目标出发 ,使今日的教育能够适应和满足未来社会发展需要。

The education should face modernization,which means that socialist education should serve building socialist modernization in China and actively meet the needs of modernization's construction in order to qualified talents who are suited to construction of modernization.The education facing the world means that we should not only draw on advanced sci-tech knowledge from the countries all over the world and civilization achievements the whole human kind has created but also must pay attention to fostering students' comprehensive quality to face the world's needs.The education facing the future means that we should emphasize long-term purpose of modernization's construction in order to make education adapt to and meet the needs of social development in the future.
