One Ism,Two Models:the Qualitative Development of Socialism in China from Mao Zedong to Deng Xiaoping

本文用"一个主义,两种模式"来概括描述了毛泽东与邓小平的社会主义理论的关系,阐述了两种社会主义模式的异同,分析了在中国社会主义历史进程中产生不同模式的原因。

This thesis discusses the similarity and difference between socialist theories of Maodong's and Deng Xiaoping's epoch under the description of 'one ism, two models'. The similarity lies in that both of them are the result of combing Marxism with Chinese practice and that some basic socialist institutions are insisted. The differences manifest in the following aspects including main task, developing motive, structure of propriety, system of economic management, distributive policy, economical and cultural relations with the outside world, as well as the construction of democracy and the rule of law under socialist condition. The thesis also analyzes the formation of these two models from the time background and international circumstances, the practical experience as well as the perception of socialism of the people concerned.
