Strengthen the Party at Grassroots Level under the Guidance of "Three Representations" Thought

“三个代表”重要思想是在新的历史条件下全面加强党的建设的伟大纲领。高校是形成和保持先进生产力的重要源头 ,是社会先进文化的示范区和辐射源 ,是涉及最广大人民利益的千秋工程 ,而高校党的基层组织又是学校全部工作和战斗力的基础 ,基层党组织堡垒作用和广大党员的先锋模范作用应在“三个代表”思想的指导下 ,体现在推动学校的改革与发展上。

The 'Three Representations' thought aims to upgrade the overall establishment of the Party in the new historical situation. Colleges and universities are the fountainhead of the advanced productivity and the model zones as well as the radioactive sources of advanced culture. And their development is a project concerning the people's interests on the largest scale. Furthermore, the grassroots organizations of the Party are the basis of the entire work and the fighting force of higher education institutions. Therefore, the role of the grassroots Party branches as fortresses and the model functions of numerous Party members as commandoes should be under the guidance of the 'Three Representations' thought and be embedded in promoting the school's reform and development.
