Pretreatments of Breaking Hard Seeds of Astragalus cicer

本文对鹰嘴紫云英种子硬实处理措施进行了探讨。结果表明:该草种子硬实率高,造成硬实的主要原因是种皮的障碍作用。采用磨擦浸种、草木灰溶液浸种、硫酸浸种法处理种子,效果很好,硬实率显著下降,发芽势、发芽率、发芽指数明显提高,且平均发芽天数也缩短。

The methods of breaking hard seeds of Astragalus cicer were studied. Results showed that the hard seed rate of A. cicer was high because of impermeability. Presoaking scarified seeds in water, plant ash or sulfuric acid solution could decrease the hard seed rate greatly and improve its germinating potential, percentage and index significantly. The bigger the seeds, the better the effects when presoaking seeds in sulfuric acid solution.
