丁玲女性小说表达了现代女性在精神退场、欲望泛化的都市男性中心社会里对理想爱情神话追求的幻灭。其小说充满精神和肉体的双重觉醒,双重痛苦——希望的同时在失望,进攻的同时在退守,建构的同时在解构。对于40年代海派女性小说影响深远,施济美、张爱玲、苏青等无不从她那里汲取过艺术的营养——思想资源和艺术资源。
The women's novels by Ding Ling express modern women's disillusionment in their pursuing an ideal love myth in a spirit - deserted, desire - prevailing society dominated by urban males. Her novels are imbued with both physical and spiritual awakenings and agonies-get disappointed while hoping, withdraw while attacking, separate while constructing. She and her writings exerted a far - reaching influence upon the women's novels by Shanghai School in 1940s and never had Shi Ji - mei, Zhang Ailing, Su Qing, etc, these outstanding women writers not once assimilated from her artistic nutrition-ideological and artistic resources.
