论汉语复句的翻译

On the Translation of Chinese Multiple Sentences

本文比较了英汉复句的特点,指出汉语复句是按时间顺序展开的,英语是逻辑语言。英译时,应以句子为单位,分析各子句概念意义的逻辑关系而翻译行文。

The present paper makes the comparison of Chinese multiple sentences and English comples sentences,and points out that the former is developed as time goes,but the latter is arranged according to their logic relationship.When translated into English,their logic relationship must be analysed and translated with a clause as a unit.
