摘要
通过对钻井生物地层资料的分析研究，认出珠江口盆地第三系始新统－上新统6个孢粉化石组合，21个钙质超微化石带（或联合带）和18个浮游有孔虫化石带的范围和界线，以及它们与本区三级层序和岩石地层单元的关系，已认出的浮游生物化石带中，有18条钙质超微化石带界线和3条浮游有孔虫化石带界线是依据定义带界线的标志种末现面确定的，基于上述研究所提出的第三系生物地层框架，可用珠江口盆地与不同大陆和大洋热带－亚热带区的生物地层对比，中始新统文昌组和渐新统恩平组之间的地层间断是南海海底扩张前的一次抬生运动造成的。
By studing the biostratigraphic data from boreholes,author recommends a biostratigraphic framework for the Eocene to Pliocene of Pearl River Mouth Basin. The assignments of the 6 palynologic assemblages, 20 calcareous nannofossil zones, 18 planktonic foraminifera zones ans Oligocene-Pliocene 3rd sequences recognized are clarified in the lithostratigraphic units. Within the planktic zones,21 zonal boundaries. including 18 in nannofossil and 3 in planktonic foraminifera,are recognized based on the LODs(Last Occurrence Datum) of marker species defining the biozones, which can be applied to the biostratigraphic correlation between continents and oceans in tropical to subtropical regions. The unconformity between the Middle Eocene Wenchang Formation and the Oligocene Enping Formation could be caused by the uplift before the continental separation and sea-floor spreading of South China Sea.
