Objective To stydy the alexithymia and its severity in patients with cerebrovascular disorders. Methods TAS was applied with 82 cases diagnosed as cerebrovascular disorders by comparing with normal control group. Results Significant higher total TAS in CVD indicated the marked alexithymia in CVD,and femal in domans. The alexithymia did not show a correlation with the diagnosis and severity of CVD. Conclusion Alexithymia in CVD patients can not only affect the treatment ,but also cause iatrogenic disorders or prolong the duration of hospitalization. If the clinicians can decide whether the patients have the alexithymia, more proper psychological methods can be choosen in the rehabilitation of CVD.
