Comment on the Worldwide Development of Sugar Cane Roller

概述了国内外甘蔗榨辊研究的状况和态势。认为:国外70年代已经抛弃复杂繁多的自发形成粗糙表面的材质研究途径,一举进入采用高强度铸铁用熔焊沉积硬质金属珠获得粗糙表面的研究新阶段。事实证明此举是成功的;为使我国甘蔗榨辊研究尽快踏上新台阶,借鉴国外这一经验是很有必要的。

This Paper summarizes the research work and the development of sugar cane roller domestic and abroad.In the seventies abroad,it has been demonstrated that coarse surface of the roller can be obtained by deposi- ting hard metal droplet on high-strength cast iron roller through welding and is more superior to the traditional more complicated method of spon- taneous formation of coarse roller surface.This has opened a new era in the reseach of roller manufacture and should be paid much attention to the development of our roller technique.
