摘要
测试了铋酸盐玻璃 (85 -x)Bi2 O3 (10 +x)B2 O3 5Na2 O(x =0 ,5 ,10 ,15 ,2 0 ,2 5mol% )中Er3+ 离子的吸收光谱、荧光光谱、荧光寿命及热稳定性 .应用Judd Ofelt理论计算了铋酸盐玻璃中Er3+ 离子的强度参数 (Ω2 =(3 5 2— 3 86 )×10 - 2 0 cm2 ,Ω4 =(1 38— 1 5 2 )× 10 - 2 0 cm2 ,Ω6 =(0 93— 1 17)× 10 - 2 0 cm2 ) ,应用McCumber理论计算了Er3+ 离子的受激发射截面 (σe=(7 0— 9 5 )× 10 - 2 1 cm2 )及Er3+ 离子4 I1 3 2 →4 I1 5 2 发射谱的荧光半高宽 (FWHM =5 7— 79nm) ,测得了Er3+ 离子4 I1 3 2 能级荧光寿命 (τm =2 6 5— 1 5 9ms) ,分析了玻璃的热稳定性能 .研究了Er3+ 离子各种光谱参数对成分的依赖性 ,发现随着玻璃中B2 O3含量的增加 ,强度参数Ωt(t=2 ,4 ,6 )、荧光半高宽 (FWHM)、热稳定性均相应增加 ,而测得的荧光寿命却减小 .比较了不同基质玻璃中Er3+ 离子的光谱特性 ,结果表明掺铒铋酸盐玻璃更适合于掺Er3+ 光纤放大器实现宽带和高增益放大 .
The absorption spectra, emission spectra and thermal stability of Er3+-doped (85 - x) Bi2O3-(10 + x) B2O3-5Na(2) O( x = 0, 5,10,15,20,25 mol%)glasses were investigated in this work. The Omega(1) ( t = 2,4,6) ( Omega(2) = (3.52-3.86) x 10(-20) cm(2), Omega(4) = (1.38-1.52) X 10(-20) cm(2), Omega(6) = (0.93-1.17) X 10(-20) cm(2)) parameters were calculated by Judd-Ofelt theory. The stimulated emission cross sections( sigma(e) = (7.0-9.5) X 10(-21) cm(2))of the E3+ ion I-4(13/2) --> I-4(15/2) transition were calculated using the McCumber theory. The FWHMs(FWHM = 57-79nm) of the I-4(13/2) --> I-4(15/2) emission and lifetimes of I-4(13/2) level( tau(m) = 2.65-1.59ms) of Er3+ ions were measured. The thermal stability of the glasses were analyzed. The compositional dependence of optical parameters of Er3+ ions were studied,with the increases of B2O3 content in the glass. The parameters Omega(1)( t = 2,4,6), FWHM, and temperature difference of DeltaT = T-x - T-g increase monotonically, while the measured lifetime decreases. The optical properties of Er3+ in different glass hosts were compared. The results show that our Er3+-doped bismuth-based glass is much more beneficial for optical amplifier to realize broadband and high gain amplification.
